DAV team shines at SCIENCE CONCLAVE-2015
Deenbadhu Chotu Ram University and science and technology Department of Haryana organized ‘Science Conclave2015’ in which Science exhibition, Quiz, Declamation and Poster making competitions were held. Namarta (class X) & Deeksha (classX) stood first in Declamation competition. Pulkit and Ayush presented a model on ‘Energy conservation’ which also won the first prize. In Quiz our team of Ankit Biswal (classXII) & B.Girdhar(clasXII) secured the fourth position. All the competitors/participants received a trophy, certificate& Rs.500/- each.
DAV WINS NORTH ZONE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
DAV stood first in the ‘CBSE North Zone Inter-school Chess Championship held at Philaur, Ludhiana. The school team consisted of Yash Dahiya, Aman Sharma, Vardaan and Naitik Chaudhary. Ours is the first team from Sonepat achieving this success.The school team shall participate at the National level Chess Championship to be held at Kolkatta between 10th and 14th December.
DAV’S B.LIKHITA HONOURED BY GOVERNER
B.Likhita of class XI stood first at District level and secured second position at state level painting competition. The competition was organised by Haryana State, Child Welfare Department on Children’s Day. She was honoured with a certificate and a trophy by the Haryana Governor, Pro. KAPTAAN SINGH SOLANKI.
VIBHAN – THE NEW CHESS STAR
Vibhan (classV) participated in the ‘LUCKNOW INTER-NATIONAL RATING ALL INDIA OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP’ organized by the Lucknow Distt. Chess Games Association in Lucknow. He won the bronze medal along with Rs.2000/- in the age-group 10.
