From the beginning it remained a wonderful and enriching experience as we came to know about this scheme of British Council through one of its Ambassadors. She motivated us to go for ISA accreditation by British Council. We realized it was a wonderful opportunity for the schools to network with one another, share knowledge and form clusters to work together on International Projects and issues of global concern. Two of our teachers were picked up to pursue with the work. They went to British Council Office to attend workshop to get details about the programme and guidelines to prepare action plan for the global activities to be executed through out the year. The idea of ISA was shared with the teachers. They were full of curiosity and excitement about the project. The school had already been providing quality education but it was more in Indian scenario than Global perspective. While preparing the action plan, we realized the importance of International Education as an essential part of school curriculum. In action plan teachers included activities and countries of students interest and it was sent for the approval of ISA panel. Very soon we got the approval of action plan and started to execute activities one by one while executing 1st activity, some confusions were in the mind of teachers and students but very soon they subsided and all of us enjoyed the activity ‘From Our Window’ very much. The work was shared and exchanged with the partner schools from UK. While performing activity on ‘Dresses of Different Countries’ through Quiz, Speech and Fancy Dress Competition etc children came to know the significance of dresses of different countries. Our next activity ‘Global Warming’ was full of inquisitions and knowledge as it was a fruitful and learning experience for the students and teachers alike. Through research work and exchange work they came to know at how much alarming stage Global Warming has become a threat to the survivial of earth and urgent steps are required to save the earth from further depletion and for sustainable growth . Foreign delegations’ visit made the activity more interesting, entertaining and knowledge enhancing. Parents active involvement in all the activities made them more exciting, enthusiastic and Knowledgeable. To compile the evidence of all the performed activities was a challenging job for us as it was our first experience. But due to the dexterity and expertise of our dedicated, devoted and intelligent teachers who were able to produce a beautiful and appealing dossier containing evidence of each and every planed activity. Overall the journey towards BCISA created awareness for the International Dimensions in curricular and co- curricular activities of the school. The activities inspired our students to know more about multicultural world by participating in various International activities The school has set up a system to include activates of International Theme in it calendar and perform them smoothly & sincerely
